Age 96 Years

 Elsie May Gies (Stowe),

beloved wife of the late Percy Gies;

passed away at Sunnyside Manor PCH in Birtle on May 2, 2017 at 96 years of age. 

She was born in the RM of Miniota on April 23, 1921. 

She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Margaret; siblings:  Arnold, Don, Ken, Wilma Sterling, and Murray; and her children:  Diane in infancy, Donnie, and David.  Surviving are her children:  Carol Anne, Dale (Margie), Larry (Judy);

eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and her brother Larry. 

In spite of the misfortunes that she endured, she always remained optimistic. 

She was very focused on family.  We will miss her.
