Waldin Selent

Waldin Selent; passed away at the Carberry Personal Care Home, Carberry, MB on Wednesdy, September 17, 2025 at 85 years of age.

Waldin was married to Diane Josephine Selent, and together they built a life grounded in love and family. He leaves behind his daughters, Catherine Connie Butzco and her partner Bill Kroeger, and Carolyn Hilde Selent Wild and her husband Geoff Wild. He was also blessed with two grandsons, Michael John Moore and Hunter Logan Selent Wild, who brought him great pride and joy.

Waldin was a man of quiet strength, one who found peace in nature and in the simple, meaningful moments of life. Whether in the stillness of the outdoors or in the warmth of family gatherings, he reflected the beauty of God’s creation and the gift of presence.

Though we mourn his absence here on Earth, we take solace knowing that Waldin is at peace, and his love continues to surround us. Let us honor his memory by holding his family close, cherishing our shared memories, and carrying forward the warmth and love he gave so freely.

A graveside service will be held at the Hamiota Cemetery, Hamiota on Friday, September 19, 2025 at 2:00pm. Bring a lawn chair if you wish.
