It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the loss of our Mom, Ann Marie (Forrest) Siemens who passed, surrounded by her family, January 15th, 2024.
Marie will be remembered and dearly missed by her children Scott (Kate) Siemens, Wanda Bailey and Derise Siemens. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren, Alicia (Rob), Joshua (Haley) and Kassy (Beto) and great grandchildren Ruby, Quinn, Parker, Tommy (who loved to visit “Grannitoba”) and Sloane. On Monday, January 22nd Josh and Haley welcomed their first child, Violet Marie into the world. The circle is complete.
Marie is also survived by her brother Jack (Judy) and many nieces and nephews.
Marie joins her husband Peter who pre-deceased her in 2009 and her beloved sister Del who recently passed. Marie was also pre-deceased by her parents Mary and Morris Forrest and so many cousins, aunts, uncles and dear friends. What a welcome she will receive.
Family was everything to Marie. Her best memories of growing up on the Farm between Kenton and Oak Lake involved so many wonderful cousins on both the Whyte and Forrest sides of the family. The old farmhouse was always filled with so much love, music and LAUGHTER. All of which followed her where every she went.
Marie spent her young adult years in Brandon working in the Bank before she married and started a family. In 1970 Marie and Peter packed up the family and moved “home” to Kenton after purchasing Kenton Frozen Foods, and later a Tire Shop and Grain Hauling Business.
When Marie finally had a little free time, her passions moved to gardening, traveling, barbershop choir, community/church work and enjoying happy hour with her dear friend Eileen.
With all of us kids living out of province, Eileen and the Kent Family (Loree/Les, Cam/Bonnie) were a huge presence in Mom’s life. There are no words to express our gratitude for everything they did for her and the immense love they shared with her.
Gratitude also goes out to her many nieces, nephews, cousins, family friends and friends in the community who loved her and brought her joy. Marie held a special place in her heart for her “Whyte Kids” Jenelle, Roy and Danny.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, May 24th.
Marie will be interred at Johnston Cemetery along side her husband Peter.
