Margaret Anne Burt passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2025 at the Hamiota District Health Centre, Hamiota, MB with family by her side.
Margaret is lovingly remembered by her husband Brian; son Brent (Wendi); daughters Shelley Burt and Nancy (Jason) Smith; grandchildren Jillian and Colby Burt and Danika and Carson Smith; sister Eileen Kent; brothers Frank Black and Melvin (Carole) Black; brother in-law Jack (Wendy) Burt; sisters in-law Mayvis (Jim) Sesak, Linda (Syl) MacDougall; and several nieces and nephews.
Margaret was predeceased by her parents Alex and Blanche Black; parents in-law Leonard and Gladys Burt; brother in-law Murray Kent; sisters in-law Georgina Black; Marlene (Murray) Genung; and nephew Donald Genung.
A service to celebrate Margaret's life will be held at the Oak River United Church, Oak River, MB on Monday, July 7, 2025 at 2:00pm. Interment will take place at the Oak River Cemetery. A reception will be held at the Oak River Memorial Rink Hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Margaret's memory to the Hamiota District Health Centre Palliative Care, payable to Prairie Mountain Health, PO Box 751, Hamiota, MB, R0M 0T0 or to the Oak River United Church Memorial Fund, PO Box 116, Oak River, MB, R0K 1T0.
