Glen Edward Bailey
(July 27, 1943 – February 22, 2023)
Glen Edward Bailey passed away in Sudbury on February 22, 2023.
He was predeceased by his beloved parents Harry Bailey and Eileen (nee Rutherford) of Hamiota, MB and brother Blair (Calgary). He leaves behind his brothers Wayne of Harrison Hot Springs, BC and Kim of Calgary; sisters Gail Price of Calgary and Lynne Smith of Oak Lake, MB.
Glen was born and raised in Hamiota, MB. He attended the UofM attaining a BSc. Further studies earned him a PhD in Physical Education at the UofA.
He was conscientious, kind and gentle, with a quirky sense of humour.
45+ years Sudbury, ON has been home. Glen once taught at Cambrian College and Laurentian University where he shared his love of science with all his students. After much thought, he moved on to teach another great passion – Ballroom Dancing.
Whether with friends at the mall or with family he could initiate a determined conversation on almost any subject.
He will be missed.
We wish to express our profound gratitude to the hospital staff at Health Sciences North in Sudbury.
