Don Rothnie

With great sadness the family announce the sudden passing of Mr. Don Rothnie of Smoky Lake, formerly of Hamiota, Manitoba on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at the age of 69 years.

Don is survived by his wife, Allison; children, Andrew (Karla) and Jamie (Alexandre); grandchildren, William, Charlotte and Chiara; brother, Edwin (Betty-Ann); sister-in-law, Ann; and furry friend, puppy Penny.

He was predeceased by his siblings, Heather and Wayne.

Don greatly enjoyed his time working around his home and yard. Above all else, he cherished the memories shared with his three grandchildren - the “apples of his eye”.

A graveside service will be held at the Hamiota Cemetery on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 2:00pm. Bring a lawn chair if you wish. Following the service, a reception will be held at the Hamiota Community Centre.
