April 28, 1943 ~ September 21, 2019
Eleanor “Anne” Milne passed away suddenly on September 21, 2019 at the age of 76 years. Anne was born to Alfred and Marjorie Sawyer on April 28, 1943. She was raised on the family farm with her siblings Bob, Bill and Joyce. She grew up on the farm helping as needed, attended Beulah school and was an active member with the Beulah 4-H club. Anne married Jim Milne on October 28, 1961 at the Birtle United Church and they began their life together on the Milne farm. They were blessed with three children Beverley, Janice and Bradley. As well as being a loving mom and farm wife to Jim, Anne was involved in the Beulah community which included the following Beulah WI, Beulah Hall, Beulah Community Chapel , Hoopers Lake, Hamiota District Hospital Ladies Aid Board, volunteered at Sunnyside Manor, Pioneer Lodge, and helped with reporting the Beulah news for the paper. Along with her many activities in the community, Anne was a dedicated councillor’s wife for 31 years, and always took pride in their farmyard by planting many flowers. Because of her passion for the farmyard, it received the Best Farm Home Grounds Award in the province in 1972. Anne and Jim retired to Birtle, MB in August 2003. Anne will be lovingly remembered for her many Christmas family gatherings on the farm, and was a dedicated keeper of family history.
Anne will be lovingly remembered by her husband Jim: children Bev (Les), Janice (Joe), Brad (Candice); brothers Bob (Toby), Bill (Doreen); sister Joyce; Grandchildren: Steven (Heidi), Brendan (Katie), Tyler (Mandi), Breanne (Patrick); Great-grand children Sienna, Kennedy, and Lincoln.
Anne was predeceased by her parents Alfred and Marjorie Sawyer, Jim’s parents James and Annie Milne.
